Joey Pringle Interview by Diversity Multi-Cultural Magazine

Joey Pringle is a Manitoba born Metis Singer/Songwriter, who has been making a big name for himself anywhere he plays.

Maybe it’s his booming soulful voice! Joeys professional, laid back easy going personality, mixed with his aggressive Country Blues style has people talking and always coming back for more performances. The troubadour grew up in the small town of Birch River with his single father and brother. His father was a Band Constable working with the RCMP, bushman and musician. Joey has always looked up to his Dad for working so hard to make ends meet and enjoyed watching him play music from behind the stage at his gigs. It was there where he started to grow his deep love for writing music and entertaining.

After working several years in the oilfield, Joey moved to Calgary from Hinton, Alberta to peruse his music career. In 2006 while in Nashville, Joey was honored to be called up to sing as a special guest at the world famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge, which solidified his music dream. Joey is currently writing songs for his new album while entertaining everywhere and anywhere he can. He has a strong fan base which keeps growing with every show he performs. Joey just played John Berry Graham’s Bad Lands Boogie Benefit in honor of his late friend James Allan Stickel in Drumheller, Alberta. Looks like sky’s the limit for this up and coming Metis Artist with jet-black slick hair that reminds us of Elvis’ look.
